MD ABDUL HALIM

Md. Abdul Halim is a highly experienced senior civil servant with over 38 years of expertise in public administration, capital markets, human resources, financial management, project management, and industrial management. As a distinguished leader, he has played a pivotal role in public policy formulation and implementation, contributing significantly to industrial growth and employment creation in Bangladesh. Notably, he pioneered the introduction of individual Action Plans in the government through the Ministry of Industries.

Md. Abdul Halim has been instrumental in driving key innovations in the public sector, including the Annual Performance Agreement, Citizen’s Charter, and initiatives to improve governance and culture. He led the Governance Innovation Unit (GIU) at the Prime Minister’s Office, spearheading efforts to address child marriage and implementing nationwide strategies. An accomplished academic, he holds an MBA in Management (HRM) and an MCom in Management from the University of Dhaka. His extensive contributions include presenting papers and moderating international seminars on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
